Starting in the middle of September 2009, portions of the Vancouver Convention Centre will become off-limits and will increase through to December 2009 until large conventions are put on hold until after the Games. For hotel sized conventions, it is different depending on the hotel - 100 to 350 person conferences/conventions could be held in the city through January without too much difficulty but these will need to book be earlier than usual.
