Monday, September 14, 2009
The morning session is open to all those that apply, but subject to seating limits. It will provide an overview of the California market as well as pitch preparation exercises focused on:
· What California investors are looking for;
· How to present your go-to market strategy and business model – i.e. is your business fundable;
· How to effectively present the problem, the opportunity and the solution;
· Management team and establishing credibility;
· How to present your evaluation of the competition
The afternoon session will be an opportunity for pre-selected companies to pitch for 10 minutes to panels of Canadian and U.S. guests, and receive instant feedback. In the evening, there will be a networking reception open to participants from both the morning and afternoon sessions to develop relationships with visiting California investors.
