This education and training program has two intersecting cohort streams: one geared towards angel investors looking to make early-stage investments into climate technologies and one designed for climate-focused startups looking to fundraise.

Angel investors will navigate the ins and outs of early-stage investing while startups prepare for the capital-raising process. These weekly live-interactive sessions will be results-driven and delivered virtually. The program will connect startup and angel investor participants to industry experts, present an opportunity for network expansion, and provide valuable insight into the investing and capital raising process.

At the end of the program, the angel investor cohort will award a $100,000 investment to one startup.

Why Climate Solutions?

Climate technologies (solutions) are designed and developed in service of reducing GHG emissions or addressing the impacts of climate change. They incorporate the broad swathe of technologies and innovations and the broad array of industries where they are being applied; energy, mobile and transportation, food agriculture and land use, heavy industry and built environment. These solutions can include anything from carbon capture, lab grown meats, intelligent grid management, working on electrification, etc.

Spots are limited, and there is only another two weeks to apply. If you’re an early-stage startup working on solutions to address the impacts of climate change, be sure to beat the November 28 deadline.

Program Intent

We designed the Angels for Climate Solutions program to catalyze the growth of climate solutions by empowering angel investors to fund climate-backed solutions and increase the flow of early-stage capital for local climate-focused startups.

Increasing early-stage investment into climate solutions will foster the innovation and ideas necessary to meet our climate goals. This is more necessary than ever as we move into the “Decade of Action” to deliver the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.
